Janene McCabe and lawyers from the Korey Wise Innocence Project at the University of Colorado have been working to overturn the wrongful conviction of Deb Nicholls. A fire at the Nicholls home took the lives of their three children in 2003. Deb was at work at the time and her husband Tim was home with the kids. Tim escaped with injuries but was unable to save the children. Both Deb and Tim Nicholls were convicted of the murder of their children based on a jail-house informant, bad science, and character attacks. The defense team for Ms. Nicholls has been working on her behalf to overturn her conviction.
